Public Transport Fare Adjustment in Cluj-Napoca Effective from 1 August 2025

Starting 1 August 2025, the Cluj-Napoca Public Transport Company (CTP) will implement updated fares for public transport services. The proposed changes are subject to approval by the Cluj-Napoca Local Council during the session scheduled for 7 July 2025.

Reason for Adjustment

According to the draft resolution, the fare adjustment is based on the increase in the consumer price index recorded between May 2022 and May 2025.

New Ticket and Pass Prices

Standard Tickets

  • Single journey ticket: 3.50 lei (currently 3.00 lei)
  • Two-journey ticket: 7.00 lei (currently 6.00 lei)
  • Night service ticket (single ride): 6.00 lei (currently 5.00 lei)
  • 30-minute time-based ticket: 3.50 lei (currently 3.00 lei)
  • 60-minute time-based ticket: 7.00 lei (currently 6.00 lei)

Monthly Travel Passes

  • One-line pass: 108 lei (currently 90 lei)
  • Two-line pass: 147 lei (currently 122 lei)
  • All-line pass (registered): 213 lei (currently 177 lei)
  • All-line pass (unregistered): 258 lei (currently 214 lei)

Implementation Date

The new fares will come into effect on Thursday, 1 August 2025, pending approval by the Local Council.
