The 29 year old Romanian tennis champion, Simona Halep and her partner, 43 year old Toni Iuruc, an Aromanian millionaire, are getting married on September 15th 2021 in Mamaia, Constanța.

She was quoted saying “”It's a beautiful event, I have emotions, different from tennis. It's the personal part. Tennis remains tennis. The step here is much more important and I am glad that it is happening”, after retuning to Romania from the US Open.

Among the guests of the ceremony, will be the former great tennis player Ilie Năstase, together with his wife, Ioana, who, also on September 15, celebrates his birthday.

The guest list would also include President Klaus Iohannis, but it is hard to believe that the head of state will be able to attend.

The couple first appeared together in public for the first time after Simona Halep won the “Grand Slam” tournament at Wimbledon in 2019.

The wedding ceremony at the Registry Office is due at 16:00hrs and then the party is scheduled at the Fratelli Club. The club is owned by Dani Caramihai, who will also be their godfather.
The guests attending the wedding party will come without their mobile phones.

Simona Halep got engaged to Toni Iuruc in June 2021, during the competitive break she had, due to a leg injury.
