In 2024, the UNTOLD festival, one of the most eagerly anticipated music events globally, is set to open a new chapter in its enchanting universe. Organisers have announced the first confirmed acts for the festival's ninth edition, promising an unforgettable experience for hundreds of thousands of fans and some of the biggest names in the global music industry. The UNTOLD main stage next year will host a series of premieres and special appearances, setting the stage for an extraordinary event in Romania.

British artist Sam Smith, known for uniquely bridging soul and pop music, has garnered significant acclaim, including an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and five Grammy Awards in major categories like Best Pop Vocal Album and Best New Artist. February 9, 2014, marked a significant milestone in Smith's career when he won four Grammy Awards. His debut album “In the Lonely Hour” saw massive success in the United States, earning eight Platinum certifications. The following year, Smith won two Brit Awards for Best British Breakthrough and Global Success Award.

His single “Stay with Me,” the third from “In The Lonely Hour,” debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart and number two on the US Billboard Hot 100, entering the top 10 in charts worldwide. On Spotify, it has amassed over two billion listens. Another hit, “I’m Not the Only One,” sold two million copies in the US and over 600,000 in the UK.

In 2016, Smith won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for the song “Writing’s On The Wall” from the “James Bond – Spectre” soundtrack. His unique blend of soul and pop, a voice honed over a decade, and his raw and honest lyrics about taboo subjects like sexuality and depression have elevated him to superstardom.

With the release of the album “Gloria,” Sam Smith surged back into global charts. His single “Unholy,” a collaboration with Kim Petras, debuted at number one in the US, won a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and has garnered over 1.3 billion streams on Spotify. “Unholy” introduced a fully self-embraced artist to the world.

For the first time on a Romanian festival's main stage, the members of Swedish House Mafia will perform at Cluj-Arena for the ninth chapter of UNTOLD's magic. Swedish House Mafia, comprising Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello, stands as one of the most potent acts in electronic music, defining what a DJ supergroup can be. They have revolutionized dance culture and inspired generations of producers with their iconic tracks, elegant brand identity, and unparalleled live performances.

Their hits like “One (Your Name)” with Pharrell and “Miami 2 Ibiza” with Tinie Tempah brought them widespread acclaim. In May 2011, they released “Save the World,” which reached number 10 in the UK. Their final single as Swedish House Mafia, “Don’t You Worry Child,” achieved massive commercial success with over 974 million Spotify streams. After dominating world festivals for three years, they announced their disbandment in 2013.

In 2019, Swedish House Mafia reunited for three sold-out shows at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm. 2021 marked their return with “It Gets Better,” “Lifetime,” and a collaboration with The Weeknd, “Moth To A Flame,” which reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100. Their album “Paradise Again,” released in April 2022, followed by a world tour, has been described by the international press as a thrilling musical journey featuring 17 brilliant productions with an astonishing sound.
