The Romanian Government has announced the new relaxation measures that will enter into force on June 1.
Starting from June 1st, 2021, private parties are permitted and sports competitions can be held with spectators even indoors. Clubs will be reopened, with limited hours, as well as playgrounds and indoor pools. The number of participants is limited, but may be higher than that established if all are vaccinated.
Cultural activities are permitted to be organised in open spaces with up to 1,000 people, provided a minimum area of 2 square meters for each person and the obligation to wear a protective mask. However, this is only permitted in locations where COVID cases are less than 3 per thousand inhabitants.
Only fully vaccinated people who have been vaccinated for 10 days, have a negative COVID test or are between the 15th and 90th day after confirmation of SARS-CoV-2 infection may participate in these activities, fact proven by medical documents. The number of participants can increase by more than 1,000 if all are vaccinated.
It will be permitted for groups of people from different households to gather outdoors in groups of 8.
Weddings, baptisms, festive meals and memorials can be organized with a maximum of 70 people in open spaces or 50 people in closed spaces, if the cases are less than 3 per thousand and health protection measures are observed. When setting the maximum number of people, children under the age of 16 are not included. The number of participants may be higher if all participants prove the vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 for which 10 days have passed since the completion of the complete vaccination schedule and an area of at least 4 sqm / person is actively enforced.
Cultural, artistic and entertainment activities can be organised and carried out indoors with the participation of the public up to 70% of the maximum capacity of the space, if the incidence is less than 3/1000 and wearing a mask is still mandatory. The number of spectators may be higher provided that all participants are vaccinated against the SARS-CoV-2 virus and for whom 10 days have elapsed since the completion of the complete vaccination schedule.
Indoor playgrounds may be reopened with the participation of the public up to 50% of the maximum capacity of the space and provided that the children's companions prove vaccination against the SARS-CoV-2 virus and for which 10 days have elapsed since the completion of the complete scheme. vaccination, or is in the period between the 15th and 90th day after confirmation of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
Sports competitions can be held with spectators both indoors and outdoors, at a capacity of 25%, if the incidence in the locality is less than 3 per thousand. Only vaccinated people, those who have a negative test and those who went through the disease no more than 90 days ago can attend. The organizer may decide to organize and conduct sports competitions with the participation of spectators up to the maximum capacity of the space, if all participants prove vaccination against SARS-CoV2 or show a negative result of a COVID test and vaccinate before entering the venue.
Gyms and gyms can operate with 70% of capacity if the incidence is less than 3 per thousand, ensuring an area of 7 sqm / person. If the incidence is up to 4 per thousand, the capacity decreases to 50%. However, several persons may be allowed access if they are vaccinated.
Indoor swimming pools will re-open, with 70% of the capacity if the incidence of COVID is below 3 per thousand.
Restaurants can operate with a capacity of up to 70% where the incidence is below 3 per thousand, between 5.00 and 24.00. Capacity can increase if all clients are fully vaccinated for at least 10 days.
The occupancy rate of accommodation in seaside resorts can increase from 70% to 85%. If all tourists are vaccinated, the administrator can allow the accommodation to be occupied up to the maximum capacity.
Bars, clubs, discos and game rooms are reopened, between 5.00 and 24.00, with public participation up to 50% of the maximum capacity of the space, if the incidence is less than 3 per thousand . Only persons who are vaccinated against the SARS-CoV-2 virus and for whom 10 days have elapsed since the completion of the complete vaccination schedule may enter.
Increasing the occupancy rate increases to 70% of the maximum capacity of spaces for licensed economic operators in the field of gambling, if the incidence is below 3 per thousand.
Festivities can be organized for the end of the school year in open spaces, with the participation of students and teachers, as well as their relatives, if the latter are people vaccinated against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, have a negative COVID test or recovered from the virus, within a maximum of 90 days.
The protective mask can be removed at work in closed spaces where a maximum of 5 people work, provided that they are completely vaccinated. Mask wearing is still required when indoors in common spaces, where access is available to the public and other workers.
Conference are permitted with a maximum attendance of 100 people.
Vaccinated people can enter Romana without staying under quarantine, as well as those who have had the infections in the past 90 days or the people who present a negative Covid test. Children up to 16 years of are are able to enter Romania after presenting a negative test. Foreigners are permitted to enter Romania for touristic activities.
