Orange Code in Cluj

An Orange Code will be in effect from Saturday 12:00 p.m. to Sunday 10:00 a.m. There will be periods of increased atmospheric instability, resulting in intensification of the wind, with gusts of over 70…90 km/h, strong gales, heavy rains, frequent electrical discharges and in some places hail. In short intervals of time or through accumulation, the water quantities will locally exceed 40…60 l/m2.

July 30th-31st Weather Alert

ISU (Inspectorate for Emergency Situations) has advised people to avoid travelling during this period. Last year in Cluj, around the same time, there was also a significant storm which hit the city with very short notice, causing multiple power outages, severe flooding and damage to property.
