Untold Festival will be one of the single largest festivals to take place in Romania since the COVID-19 pandemic began. The organisers and local authorities have informed that this event will be held with “maximum safety” through law enforcement, surveillance and also the fact that Untold organisers require specific conditions to be met before attendees can enter the festival.
In order to enter the festival, organisers require attendees to present a copy of the EU COVID-19 Digital Certificate (Green Pass), proving that they have received a full vaccination and that 10 days have passed since completion, proof that they are within the 15th-180th day of having the virus or proof of a negative RT-PCR test, which is no older than 72 hours.
However, the city are taking no chances, and with the assistance of almost 1,000 gendarmes and policemen, firefighters, doctors and SMURD (Mobile Emergency Service for Resuscitation and Extrication), as well as over 600 security guards and 75 local policeman, the 6th edition of Untold Festival aims to be the “Safest Festival” in Romania.
Four SMURD ambulances, as well as special transport vehicles and fire trucks will be situated permanently at the festival in order to provide immediate assistance, in the event of an incident.
In addition to the measures above, a crew of the Caransebeș Special Aviation Unit within the General Aviation Inspectorate of the Ministry of Interior, with an IAR-316 helicopter will fly over the area with the mission to monitor the festival in real time.
Approximately 400 gendarmes will be participating with service dogs and special equipment for the detection of weapons or harmful devices, as well as patrolling the event to ensure maximum safety of festival attendees and the local community. Dogs will also be specialised in detecting explosives and police will be carrying out checks for pyrotechnic devices throughout the festival.
There is also zero tolerance on drugs, with police officers from the organised crime units, identifying and combating any illegal activity.
Law enforcement representatives remind all participants to comply with the legal provisions in force regarding health protection measures, as well as the recommendations of law enforcement and event organizers.
It is also forbidden the presence at this type of event of persons who have on them hallucinogenic substances, tear irritants or with paralyzing effect, weapons of any kind, explosive or incendiary materials, devices for electric shocks or other objects that can be used for actions. violent or disturbing its normal development.
