  • Night Transportation in Cluj-Napoca Starting July 1st, on 3 Routes: 54N, 5N, and 25N

Cluj-Napoca residents and visitors will soon benefit from a new and expanded night transportation system, as announced by Mayor Emil Boc.

Starting July 1st, the Cluj-Napoca City Hall, in collaboration with the Cluj Public Transport Company (CTP Cluj), will launch night transportation services on three key routes within the city.

Operating daily from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM, the night transportation service aims to provide convenient travel options during late hours. Departures will be scheduled every 30 minutes, ensuring reliable and accessible transportation for those in need.

The three night transportation lines are as follows:

  • Line 54N: Connects Zorilor Neighborhood to the City Center and Grigorescu Neighborhood.
  • Line 5N: Links the Airport to the City Center and Gara Square.
  • Line 25N: Facilitates travel between Mănăștur Neighborhood, the City Center, and Gheorgheni Neighborhood.

Line 54N will be serviced by electric buses, while trolleybuses will be deployed for lines 5N and 25N, promoting a more environmentally friendly travel experience.

Passengers can purchase single tickets for a cost of 5 lei. Ticket options include the 24Pay application, onboard POS terminals, or directly from the driver.

In addition, a friendly reminder from Mayor Emil Boc states that every Friday, both residents and tourists can enjoy free travel on all urban lines, regardless of the mode of public transportation. This initiative, known as “Green Friday,” has been successfully implemented by the Cluj-Napoca City Hall and will extend to Apahida starting July 1st, further encouraging public transportation usage in the metropolitan area.
