As far as property development goes, Cluj has seen a boom in the past few years with new properties sprining up all over the city, however, none of them can claim the title of the tallest residential building in Cluj-Napoca, let alone in the entire country.
The building permit for West City Tower was issued in the summer of 2012, and the project is set to be completed in January 2020 and will offer panoramic views across the entire city from the Manastur neighbourhood.
Manastur became a part of the city in 1895, and between some local residents, has been dubbed “Manhattan-stur” due to it having one of the highest concentration of tall multi-story apartment buildings in the city, so this latest development, is sure to continue cementing this nickname into place.
Over 120,000 people reside in the neighbourhood, and West City Tower will offer 182 apartments, ranging from 1-room studios through to 3-room apartments, and 4 penthouses with 5 rooms, in addition to commercial space, spread over 25 floors.
Ardeal Construct, the development company behind West City Tower, has advertised the sale of the properties through RE/MAX, a real estate franchise who’s name should be more than familiar to those from the United States as they hold the largest market share in the U.S and Canada.
The entry-level price for a 1-room apartment in the development is currently listed at €62,219 + tax. One of the penthouses, with 5 rooms spread over 2 floors and 198.6 is currently listed at €387,270 without tax.
